Pies N' Thighs. Eh!

Let's get it out of the way. Place is cool, hip, happening. Service is great, wait staff friendly and helpful, the way it ought to be. 5 of us for 5pm, right when they re-open. Sat us down right away, but this place looks like it can get super busy.

I had the Carolina Pulled Pork Box sandwich with coleslaw pickle n one side. OK, for the sad part. The Pulled pork was a bit bland (hot sauce helped it) 1 half of the buns was soaked from, I dunno what. Just was soggy. Like soak bread in water kinda soggy. The slaw was pretty good and on the samich which is a nice change instead of being on the side. The cheese grits. Grrrr
:( don't call them cheese grits if A - you can't the cheese. B - You can barely see the cheese. The cheese was shredded and topped, but I mean it was completely unsubstantial. Looked like they made one pass on the grater and they started it from the half. So little that if you just ate the cheese, you'd barely know there was cheese there that you ate. Hot sauce on grits was not a great idea, but it helped a tiny bit.

Had a half and half to drink but it was sooooo sweet that I had to drink some and then pour in like a half cup water to cut the sweetness.

No room for dessert and they are supposedly known for pies.

Oh and BTW. One of the hipster servers was really rocking the bad B.O. Dude, you work around people all day. Learn what soap and deodorant are for.

On a side note, the menu looks so dang delicious, especially the brunch menu. I will give this place a 2nd chance. But that's it.
Oh, they are also closed daily from 4pm - 5pm. Probably some changing of the guards or something. hehe

I'm giving this place so far. 2 Fat Guy Stomachs.

If you want to risk it.
